For over 135 years, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) – the world’s oldest and largest private cancer center – has been dedicated to providing exceptional patient care through our groundbreaking scientific research in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, innovative surgical techniques, and breakthrough discoveries in new drug therapies. Our educational programs train future physicians and scientists, and the knowledge and experience they gain at MSKCC have an impact on cancer treatment and biomedical research around the world.

Through these interactive interchanges, we hope to accelerate the exchange of knowledge to improve patient outcomes, new research collaborations, and increase graduate training.

Multidisciplinary Tumor Board on Salivary Cancer: MSK and HCG

Description

Head and neck cancer are among the leading causes of cancer morbidity and mortality in India and globally. To improve patient outcomes through research and education, we are excited to present an educational series with the leading institutions in India. The host institution for this event on salivary cancer is HCG Cancer Centre in Ahmedabad. We will be discussing two cases followed by two lectures.

MULTIDISCIPLINARY TUMOR BOARD ON OVARIAN CANCER AND CONVERSATION WITH MS. MANISHA KOIRALA

Description

In continuation of MSKCC’s educational series with the Association of Gynaecologic Oncologists of India (AGOI) to spread knowledge, further research, and improve patient outcomes, we are excited to present a tumor board on ovarian cancer with Tata Medical Center in Kolkata (TMC-K). We will be discussing treatment management of two serous ovarian cancer cases: platinum-sensitive recurrent ovarian cancer and HIPEC for ovarian cancer. We are honored to follow this with a conversation between Ms. Manisha Koirala and Dr. William Breitbart about the patient perspective.

Description

Head and neck cancers are among the leading causes of cancer morbidity and mortality in India and globally. To improve patient outcomes through research and education, we are excited to present an educational series between Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and institutions across India. For this event, we will be co-hosting with the faculty of Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. We will be discussing treatment management of complex oral cancer: Early Oral Cancer with Submucous Fibrosis & Locally Advanced Oral Cancer with Mandibular Invasion. This will be followed by a short lecture on state of the art techniques in mandible reconstruction.

Gynecological cancers are the leading causes of cancer morbidity and mortality for women in India. To spread knowledge, further research, and improve patient outcomes, we are excited to present an educational series between MSKCC and the Association of Gynaecologic Oncologists of India (AGOI). For this inaugural event in the MSKCC-AGOI joint tumor board series, we are honored to co-host with Manipal Comprehensive Cancer Center in Bengaluru. We will be discussing treatment management of two endometrial cancer cases: localized/early-stage and advanced/recurrent. This will be followed by a short lecture on recent progress in advanced/metastatic endometrial cancer. At the end we have also reserved time for audience questions.

Description

Head and neck cancers are among the leading causes of cancer morbidity and mortality in India and globally. To improve patient outcomes through research and education, we are excited to present an educational series between Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and institutions across India. The first event in this series was co-hosted with AIIMS, New Delhi and focused specifically on thyroid cancer. Experts from both teams discussed the management of localized as well as metastatic thyroid cancer. Dr. Alan Ho (MSKCC) gave a short lecture on state-of-the-art redifferentiation therapy. Dr. Kapil Sikka (AIIMS) gave a short lecture on decreasing parathyroid morbidity.
